U.S. Strike Killed Al Qaeda Bomb Maker

Abu Khabab al-Masri is reportedly one of the men killed in last week's blast. There was a $5 million reward on his head. He was the reputed head of the Derunta training camp in Afhganistan, where he experimented with chemical weapons on animals. Read rest here.

By the way, on Dec. 5 Indian terrorism expert B. Raman reported that before the 9/11 attacks on the U.S., Abu Hamza Rabia (the alleged al Qaeda #3 recently whacked by a CIA drone in Pakistan) was trained by Midhat Mursi (aka Abu Khabab), another Egyptian, in an Afghan camp to do research and development on chemical and biological weapons, particularly toxins. "[This] was not highlighted by the Pakistani authorities in their media briefing," Raman said. Raman is the former head of the counter-terrorism division of the Research & Analysis Wing in India's external intelligence agency, and the head of the Institute for Tropical Studies, Chennai, India. "The official told Adnkronos International(AKI) there was authentic information about a meeting of senior personnel, but it was conjecture that those present included al-Qaeda number 2, Ayman al-Zawahiri, or Taliban leader Mullah Omar.
