Joe Duarte gave a presentation yesterday on "Flourishing: The New and Evolving Science of Happiness." The talk outlined the state of happiness research -how it's defined and measured, how scientists treat the role of values, and causes and correlates of happiness, cultural differences, and philisophical implications.

Joe is pursuing his doctorate in social psychology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
