About those bin Laden rumors

I'm not surprised that this story about bin Laden's ill health was denied by the end of the day. US sources say the officer was misquoted. They said the report of bin Laden's condition "lacked credibility" and they "had no other information."

Yossef Bodansky, author of the "Great Ramadan Offensive" report I wrote about here, addressed this issue in his Sept. 2 report. These recent contradictory reports and rumors about bin Laden, he said were alarming. Some reports said bin Laden had injured his leg in the battlefield in Afghanistan. Others said bin Laden had been secreted away to convalesce. So why would those reports be alarming?

Because such false information has been floated in the past to cover relocations preceding major strategic offensives.
